“SONO (Svelare Occasioni Nutrire Opportunità)” – “Revealing Possibilities and Fostering Opportunities” is funded within the framework of the Italy-Switzerland cross-border cooperation program (2014-2020), a project led by Fondation Grand Paradis, on the Italian side, and by the tourism institute HES-SO Valais-Wallis, on the Swiss side, in partnership with the municipalities of Aymavilles, Introd, Rhêmes-St-Georges, Cogne, Saint-Marcel, Orsière and Evolène.
The project aims to promote the attractiveness of “minor” territories, characterised by environmental and cultural resources that are still undervalued from a tourism viewpoint. In particular, SONO’s intention is to give visitors the possibility to understand and unravel the history, complexity and variety of the heritage they visit, through an experiential journey that focuses on the roots and the identity that make this destination unique.
The common thread of the project is storytelling, a method through which the different territories reveal themselves to the eyes of the visitor.
